At Chuck-E-Cheese
On Sunday (11th) my dad, Heidi, Abi, Zane and Dane and a couple friends joined us and we went to 6 Flags. Normally we would have chosen a better day than Sunday to visit a theme park but Kam was only able to come for a couple days and we wanted to be sure to have some fun with him while he was there, that and they were only open on the weekend.

I let Kam off the hook for most of the day and stuck with the kids taking them on rides.

Just before lunch we took the kids to the Kid's Club Show and Braden got picked to go on stage to help Bugs Bunny. Braden had to shoot baskets to earn points for his team. He did really well and made the most baskets earning his team lots of extra points! At the end of the show they had a couple dad's in the audience do a silly game where they had to jump around and shake their booty to get some ping-pong balls out of a fanny pack they were wearing. Kam was picked to participate and he did really good...he won!
Tay was really good at waiting while the kids went on some of the rides.

The Scrambler was Braden and K's favorite ride.
After leaving the park we headed to Buca di Beppo's for some dinner and then headed home. The kids must have had a great time because they were asleep in about 2 minutes after leaving.
On Monday (12th) we headed to the Santa Monica Pier. While there the kids played in the sand and we rented bicycles for the afternoon. We also went on the Merry-go-Round, had some ice cream and rode a couple of rides.
Tuesday (13th) was a quiet day. The big kids and grandparents went to Universal Studios while Ash and I stayed home with the little kids.
Wednesday (14th) we went to the Americana at Brand in Glendale for some shopping and a movie. We went to see the Lorax and it was a big hit. The older boys and my dad went to a different show and while we waited for their show to get out we played on the grass.
Thursday (15th) we went to the Skirball Cultural Center to check out the Noah's Ark Exhibit. It was really cool. All the animals were made out of recycled materials and the Ark was very interactive. The biggest hit was the craft center where the kids got to make burlap journals out of recycled materials.
We also went to Griffith Observatory. Carter and Tay fell asleep so Ashely stayed out while we went to the Light of the Valkyries show in the planetarium. While she waited for us Tay woke up and was super grumpy and threw a big time tantrum resulting in her smacking her head down on the sidewalk giving her a bloody and luckily not broken nose.

On Friday (16) we said goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa and the older kids and once again had a quiet, well, not so quiet day. The kids all must have had too much fun with not enough sleep and were all really grumpy. We did get them to behave for a short time so we could go to the YMCA for a special St. Patty's Day Party. The kids decorated special St. Patrick's Day bags and bookmarks and gathered coins to trade in for treats and a prize.
Saturday (17) morning Grammy Bo flew in to come play. We made a special breakfast of green pancakes, green eggs and green milk that the kids really enjoyed.
We also did some shopping and went bowling. The kids loved bowling but may have had more fun rolling the balls and goofing off around between turns.
Sunday (18th) was a quiet day and then on Monday (19th) we had to say goodbye. Before taking off though we went to McDonald's for lunch and then to Golden Swirl for some frozen yogurt to celebrate K's 5th birthday!
We had a great time with our family and probably overstayed our welcome at the Robert's house but we are so grateful they would let us come and play. Now we just need to catch up on a little of this and we'll be ready for our next adventure!
