My dad and Heidi totally ROCK! They treated us to an Alaskan Cruise. If anyone is contemplating a great vacation destination I highly recommend going. We had so much fun. We were all worried because just two weeks before going my dad was in a motorcycle accident. He was on a road trip with his buddies and while driving up a curvy mountainous pass he went down. He broke his collar bone, scapula, 5 ribs and even bruised his lung. He had to be life flighted to a nearby hospital and after coming home needed surgery to place his bones so they could heal. After the surgery he was doing better but had a scare when the doctors thought he had a blood clot in his lung. Luckily they were wrong but he did get pneumonia and was almost not allowed by his doctor to come on the trip. After a final x-ray he was cleared and we were off.
Our cruise made 4 stops and at each we did the most amazing things. In Ketchikan we zip-lined through the towering evergreens. I was really scared at first being 180 feet in the air, but soon overcame all my fears. There were 7 stretches we zipped across the longest at 750 feet and 3 suspension bridges we crossed. Our guides gave us all a medal at the end; HOT DOG!

At our next stop in Juneau, our group spit up. The boys went fishing and the rest of us including my dad went on a float plane to see the glaciers. The views were incredible. We landed on an island overlooking one of the glaciers and while there ate the most incredible salmon at the Toku Lodge.

Our third stop was in Skagway, a tiny and beautiful little town. There we took a train through the white pass and once at the top of the mountain (4000 feet) we got on bicycles and rode all the way down the mountain. The views were jaw dropping. They say that it's the most scenic train ride in the wold and I believe it.

Our last stop was in Prince Rupert Canada. There wasn't much to do there but we did walk around and saw a guy sleeping in some bushes in front of a cafe.
The whole trip was so much fun and the only down side was the fact that I left my babies home with gramma. Although, the time with my family and one on one with Kam was so worth it.
Thanks dad and Heidi for everything. I'm pretty sure this was my best vacation ever!!!
