Big Boys and Jesus

I finally moved the boys into new car-seats. Braden finally reached 40 pounds so I moved him into a booster seat and moved Carter into Braden's old seat. Carter loves that he now has his own cup holder.

On Sunday, Brady was drawing several pictures and then brought this one to me asking if I knew who it was. He gave me the hint that it was his most favorite person. My first guess was his Dad, but I was wrong. "No Mom. The person I love the very mostest and who loves me!"

If you guessed Jesus, you would be right. Too bad I had to have Braden tell me who it was, duh!

Olympic Fever

My boys have been super excited about the Olympics. I thought for sure they might think it would be boring to watch "a grown-up show." Instead, they have really gotten into it and want to stay up late just to watch. So far their favorite thing to watch is the swimming and diving. It's been fun to see Braden and Carter cheering on the USA and their new favorite athlete, Michael Phelps.

While swimming last night at the pool Braden, with Bo's help, taught himself to do this:

Carter has also become a braver swimmer by putting his head under the water to swim!

Scissors

I was pretty sure I would never have a child do this. I mean, I've been super careful about when the boys can use scissors and I'm always around when they have them. It doesn't help that big brother decided to cut a small chunk out of Carter's hair a few days earlier with some scissors that we were using while working at the new house. I guess Carter thought that if big brother could do it then he, the little brother, could too.
