Our first outing was to the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh. I think everyone had the same idea because it was really crowded. This was our first visit to this museum and it was really cool.
We got to go on a submarine tour. Yes, it's a real submarine out in the River!
We saw a huge miniature railroad & village built to show how people lived, worked, and played in the Pittsburgh area during the 1880's through the late 1930's.
We also got to see how robots work and even got up close and personal with R2D2. Braden was really excited...can't you tell?!
We learned about planets
and played in a mini-submarine.
Abi and Gramma co-anchored the weather report.
Grampa and Braden built a big house
and Carter made an earthquake to knock it down!
We also got to experience what it would be like in a real earthquake.
It didn't phase Abi too much!
After leaving the museum (and losing Gramma's camera)
we headed back home for dinner and some egg dying!
The next day, since it was still raining, we decided to head north to swim at an indoor water park in Erie. We didn't take very many pictures because we were having so much fun splishing and splashing in the water and slipping down the slides, however I just had to get a couple shots of Carter in the kiddie pool. He went down the slide about a hundred times and during his fun this little girl decided that Carter was her new best friend and spent her time helping him in and out of the water, holding his hand as they walked up the stairs and holding his hand as they went down the slide together.
By the end of the day we were exhausted! We had a nice dinner and then went to bed in anticipation for a visit from the Easter Bunny!
Easter morning we woke early to see what the Easter Bunny had brought and then went on a massive indoor egg hunt!

Abi was surprised with a Dolphin Pillow Pet!
When we were in Disneyland Braden got to pick out a toy, a blue Dinoco Lightning McQueen. He lost it while in California so the Easter Bunny Brought him a new one (Lucky Boy). He was so excited to have a new one it made him cry!
Braden also wanted Eugene and Maximus from Disney's Tangled. The only one the Easter Bunny could find was in a set with Rapunzel. At first glance Braden looked at his gift and said "Ugh, this is a girls toy!"
But then after Dad pointed out that it had just what he wanted
he was really excited to dive into his "girl toy." He later gave Rupunzel and her clothes to Abi because he didn't want the "girl parts."

Gramma and Grampa gave the boys big baskets of treats
including a stuffed bunny...Brady was in love!
After checking out the Bunny Treats the egg hunting began!
When all the eggs were found we got ready and went to church. After church we made a yummy Easter feast as well as these Resurrection Rolls and talked about the real meaning of Easter.
Carter refused to eat anything but Candy for the whole day.
It made for one crazy baby!
And then it was time to say goodbye. (Sniff, sniff.) We had planned on one more day of fun but unfortunately Heidi wasn't feeling well and they had to go home early. It was really sad but we were so grateful to have them come and stay at out house and enjoyed their company very much. I love my family so much. Thanks Dad, Heidi and Abi for the fun visit. We can't wait to play again soon!
