Yes, we will be in Utah for more than just a few days or a couple of weeks. We are here for 5 and a half weeks! Well, at least the boys and I are. Kam only got to stay for a week.
Getting here was a bit rough seeing as we almost missed our connecting flight due to some delays in Pittsburgh, but running like crazy people in the Detroit Airport was worth it as we arrived at our gate just before they started giving our seats away to standby passengers. I'm so glad we made that flight because we were able to join our family for the annual BBQ at my Uncle Brad's house and then fireworks!
This was Carter's first experience with fireworks. He was so tired
(to us it was midnight when the fireworks started) but he was mesmerized!

The next morning we woke early and headed to Logan to visit with Great Grampa Henrie. Braden was very excited to see his Bullseye friend, Grampa's horse. We had the best breakfast of eggs, susage, pancakes, bacon, and fresh raspberries!
Gram and some of the grandkids.
She got them all matching shirts for the 4th!
On Monday and Tuesday we got to spend time with my dad and Heidi. They drove all the way up from St. George just to see us! We had a lot of fun swimming, going to Build-a-Bear, watching fireworks with some good friends and had a fun BBQ at my Gramma Goodies house.
Wednesday through Friday we got to play with the Henrie's. We picked and ate way too many raspberries and even visited a chocolate factory with Konnie and her cute brood. The kids loved it, especially the chocolate at the end!
On Saturday we headed back north to Idaho to "run-the-river!" This is one of our favorite vacations that we look forward to every year. This year we will be missing the trip with the whole extended family because we will be in Cali with my sister when she delivers her new little baby girl. However, we didn't want to miss out on all the fun so we decided to go up for the day. It was really fun that my cousin Jenny and her little family and my Aunt Jeanie came with us.
Braden really wanted to go down the river on his own tube and almost did,
but at the last minute thought it better to ride with mommy.
Carter stayed behind and ate lots and lots of watermellon!
Jenny's hubby, Rob, who was up there with the scouts, had rented some canoes to ride down the river. Two of the boys flipped their conoe and it ended up getting stuck, wrapped around the pillar of the bridge. Thankfully none of the boys were hurt but there was lots of damage to the canoe. They almost called it a loss deciding to leave it, but Kameron and Rob devised a plan to get it out.
They did get it out, but by then the scrub scouts had already left with the trailer
so we had to drive it back down south with it tied to the top of the "burb."
Kam, had to leave us on Sunday. I wish he were still here and I do miss him, but I am definitely not ready to call it a wrap.
