Utah...Woops California: Week four and five

Our first week in California we spent a lot of time waiting...for my sister's baby to make her big debut. Luckily she had some great ideas to make the waiting more fun.

We went to the sprinkler park...

to In-n-Out...

to the library and story-time in the park...

to the grocery store...

we went skating...

played in the baby's crib...

rode on the skateboard...

raced on the skateboard...

climbed rocks...

went swimming...

and just sat around!

But finally the day arrived and on Sunday, August 1 @ 9:35 AM
Tayvlee Isla Roberts was born!

While Ashley recovered in the hospital, we took K and went to Malibu to stay with Grammy Willie and spent most of our waking hours...

at the beach...

putting sand down brother's back...

trying to decide if sea kelp tastes any good...

collecting shells...

going for a ride in the wagon...

playing at the park...

(K stepped on Carter's fingers so Pappy asked K if she liked it)

and crying because it's time to get off the swing.

Then once we got all the sand out of our hair our nights went to the dogs!

We went back to Ashley's house to get the house clean and ready for Tayvlee to come home. The kids and I even made some "welcome home" posters for her.

To keep the house semi non-caotic Ryan and I took Braden and K to the movies
and the next day Ryan took them on a hike in the mountains .

It was really hard after two weeks to say good-bye and head back to Utah...but alas it was time. I sure do miss my sister and I loved that I got to spend more time with Ryan and K. I'm really gonna miss all of them, especially this little one.

Utah: Week Three

We headed south to St. George this week of our trip. It was very HOT, but I personally enjoyed every minute of it. The boys did a lot of swimming and I did a lot of shopping. My favorite was going with my little sister Abi to buy her first BRA! She was excited until I pulled out the camera to take a picture.

We didn't just swim and shop, we also jumped and bumped. We made several visits to Jumpin' Jacks (a bounce house) and also went to Fiesta Fun, and boy did we have fun.

Kiddie-Go-Karts

Braden went with Grampa on the Big-Kid Go-Karts and took 1st Place!

Carter was too little to ride...this was him throwing a fit.

Bumper Boats

After being in the Sun we headed inside where the kids got to use tokens to play some fun games and win tickets. Our last token was played by aunt Megan and we WON the JACKPOT! After counting up all our tickets we won over 1000 tickets!  The kids were so excited to spend their tickets on totally useless crap..but they loved it. Even though the adrenalin was pumping from the big win, we decided to head home for a nap and came back later after dinner for a round of MINI GOLF!

Grampa got a HOLE in 1

During the later part of the week my Grandpa and Gramma Johnsen came down and celebrated the 24th with us. We did sparklers and had our own private firework show!

Note to self: don't take do-it-yourself pictures..you'll always end up with a double chin.

Utah: Week Two

During week two of our stay in Utah the boy's and I stayed at my mom's house. We were sad that daddy had to go home but we definitely were NOT ready to leave; our fun was only still just beginning. This week I got to see some of my very best friends. I had lunch with Jannelle, a friend from High School, and went to the farm at Thanksgiving Point with my Kimi.

All the kiddies, Lincoln, Abbie, Hannah, Carter, Braden, and Kimi's cousin Maddy.

The kids got to ride in a Horse Drawn Carriage

On Saturday we went to my Uncles house to celebrate my cousin, Alisha's 1st birthday. Carter has turned into a fish and can usually be found in just a diaper or even naked wherever there is water.

Braden was hot and dipped his head in the water to cool off.
Later he stripped completely down to his undies!

On Sunday after church we headed over to Susie's house for dinner and to see the new baby. My brother, Severin and his fiance's baby was born on July 6th. He is a beautiful baby and Seve is a great daddy already.
