Lunar Eclipse

Kam recently borrowed a weld hood from his dad so he could do some finishing work on his car before he sells it to his brother this weekend (I know. He's selling his car. I still don't believe it.) Anyway, I am so glad we had the hood as we were able to see the Lunar Eclipse with it over the weekend.

Braden only looked for a second and didn't seem all that impressed but the rest of us thought it was Pure Awesomeness!

Doesn't he look like a little Minion in that thing?!

Pickle Ball

Last weekend we headed to St. George to visit my daddy and watch him play in a pickle ball tournament. If you don't know what pickle ball is, you should. It's a cross between regular tennis and table tennis where players use a paddle, wiffle ball and play on what looks like a modified tennis court. My dad has been playing this game for a few years now and has done really well. He is near the top in skill level and has won multiple medals most of which I believe are gold. He very rarely looses. Anyway, we have never seen him play and where we now live so close this was a perfect opportunity to cheer him on and support him in one of his passions.

During the first game my Dad and his doubles partner, Bryce,
took a minute to get their groove on but once they found it they
were unstoppable winning game, after game, after game.

I'm sure having these cute cheerleaders helped.

During this match the duo lost their first game, came back to win the
second, and unfortunately didn't win the third. It was really close though.

The next match they played determined who would win the Bronze Medal
and who would go on to play for the Gold and Silver Medals. They won!

The Gold/Silver Match was intense! Both teams played really well.

It was a really close game and they ended up taking the Silver Medal.
Braden put it really well saying, "well 2 is more than 1, so that's better!"

I am so glad we got to come and play for the day. It was a long day but so worth getting to cheer on one of our favorite people. Way to go DAD, we're so proud of you!

Every Prince Needs a Crown

Last year at the dentist Braden had two little cavities that needed to be filled and he was a real champ when he got them filled; no meds. Unfortunately about a month ago one of those fillings fell out and cracked his tooth in half. We took him to the dentist to get it checked out and discussed our options. We decided the best thing to do was put in a crown. I was a little nervous that my baby was going to have to be anesthetized but Kam wasn't worried at all. Go figure though...that is his profession.

Today was the big day and Braden did amazing. I was surprised with his enthusiasm about the whole thing. He couldn't wait to have a silver tooth! We got to the dentist at 7 am and they gave him some medicine and then we waited for about an hour before starting. We sat in the waiting room and watched Scooby Doo. The medicine made Brady really hyper and he was talking about a mile a minute. When the hour was up they took him back; Kam went with him and I stayed in the waiting room with Carter. Everything went really smoothly and Kam said that just before he fell asleep Braden kept saying really silly things like "I feel spinny" and "I feel like I'm sleeping in my bed." The best part was when it was all over and he was waking up. He was so out of it. His eyes would get really big and he would look around like he'd never seen anything before. The dentist said Braden was one of if not his best patient ever. On the way home we got him a smoothie and have since been hanging out having a quiet day. I'm so grateful everything went okay.

Getting ready to take the medicine.

Falling Asleep.

 During.

Waking up.

A Crown for my Prince.

It's Getting Hot in Here

We are loving the warm weather here in Henderson. Our pool opened the beginning of April and the boys have already been swimming a few times. Yesterday the temps reached to 90 (only a glimpse into the HOT that awaits us) so we decided to cool off in the pool. The pool is not heated and was cold but we still had a great time. I'm sure our pool fun will only get better and better, especially since swimming lessons start next week.

It's Always Fun When Grampa Comes

Last weekend Grampa dicided to get a way and we are so grateful he came to hang with us. We had a really fun time with Grampa. We went to the library, bowling, out to lunch and dinner, got ice cream, and played lots of games.  Our favorite though were Grampa's amazing magic tricks and playing don't fall-off.

Thanks Grampa for coming to visit. We love you!
