For breakfast the boys ate cereal, but when they poured their choice of cereal they got a big surprise - the cereals had been mixed up! Later for lunch, we tricked the boys by giving them what they thought was orange Kool-Aid but was in fact orange Jell-o.
After lunch we went for a walk. The boys love walks and love looking for treasures along the way. Just as we headed out the door Braden spotted a "lucky penny" and attempted to pick it up. Carter even helped but they couldn't get it, it was stuck! (We had super-glued it to the sidewalk.)
Our last trick of the day was at dinner time where we had dessert for dinner and dinner for dessert.
Meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting.
Pound cake french-fries with red frosting ketchup.
Thanks Megan for your help tricking the boys. It was a lot of fun. I think the best part of the day was Braden trying his hardest to trick Kam and me. He got a spider to scare us and took a safety pin (with Dad's help) and made it look like it was stuck in his finger to trick me. I love doing fun things with my little family. Next time, though, I'll remember not to involve anything that may take away from a good nights sleep!
