Happy Easter

We had a fun Easter weekend at our house. On Saturday, dad stayed busy fixing his car while the boys and I spent lots of time in the kitchen making cookies, dying eggs, and coloring Easter pictures.

On Easter Sunday, we got up early to quickly get ready for church (our church is at 8:30 am) and were surprised to see that the Easter Bunny hadn't visited us yet. Braden told me that the Easter Bunny probably knew that we had early church and that he didn't want us to be late so maybe he would come while we were at church. What great logic, and I completely agreed. So we left for church in hopes that he would visit while we were gone.

At church, Carter gave his very first talk in primary. He did so well. When we got to primary Carter was excited to sit in the front and anxiously awaited his turn. When it was time, Carter ran to the little pulpit, climbed up and pulled the microphone down. I came to help him and he delivered his first line perfectly. He then put his head down and acted as though he wasn't to sure about everyone looking at him, but that only lasted for a second and he stood up tall and gave the rest of his talk. I was so pleased!

Jesus Christ is the Perfect Example to Me

After church the boys were super excited that the Easter Bunny had finally come!

Before we let them gather any of the eggs, the boys had to find their Easter Baskets. They found them in their rooms. The boys got some fun toys to use in the swimming pool, new beach towels, squirt guns, watches, bubbles and chalk.

Cart didn't want to stop to go potty...

...he did though, but was not happy about it.

Then the Hunting Began!

Each of the boys found a special Golden Egg that had money in it!

Counting eggs.

The rest of our day was pretty quiet but as always had a great time being together eating egg salad sandwiches, watching The Muppet Movie that Gramma and Grampa sent, and eating lots and lots of candy!

Happy Easter!
