You say Goodbye and I say Hello
Saying Goodbye in St. George
We had so much fun in St. George! As always we were spoiled with lots of fun things to do. We went swimming, went to the museum, and we took the kids to Jumping Jacks. One of the best parts of the weekend was being surprised by my sister, Ashley who drove down from Cali to see me. It was so fun to play with her, Kennedee, Abi, Gramma and Papa. Oh, Zane and Dane too. They're the best dog and pony show anywhere.
...and going down the slide at Jumping Jacks.
Actually he JUMPED down the slide!
A River Runs Through It
Every year our family gathers together for our annual camping trip on the Bear River in Idaho. It's a beautiful spot up the Onida Narrows, just north of Preston, Idaho. I love it there. It's probably one of my favorite spots in the whole world. My family has been "running the river" now for the past 50 years and I have been going since I was 6 months old. This trip has now transformed from an annual trip to our Auger family reunion. My grandparents were born and raised near this spot.
This year was so much fun. I love that I can pass this joy from my childhood to my children and let them experience all the fun. Braden is a born camper. He loves to explore and get dirty. He also went down the river with me on a tube. He loved the water, but had more fun getting in the dirt and hiking and exploring with Peter and Pappy. Carter did well too. He is such a good baby and camping with him was no exception.

Hollywood Rain
You know how in movies when the scene is set and it's all beautiful and then suddenly a downpour of rain comes in? I used to think that was so phony; rain just doesn't come down that fast and that quick. However, "Hollywood Rain" does exist in Pennsylvania and it's a sight to behold. You can't see anything and there's water and mud everywhere. Then in a few minutes it's all gone. I love it!

I think I Made It

Well, we're here. Kam left last week to drive our cars out here with his dad, mom and brother, Kris. They drove for 3 days straight and got right to work unloading the truck and putting everything away. I arrived yesterday with the boys. They were both amazing on the plane ride. I was so scared to travel by myself with 2 small children, but was pleasantly surprised by their extra good behavior. I also had a lot of help from the airline crew as well as some really nice passengers.
Saying "goodbye" to everyone at home was really hard. My anxiety kicked in and I was just sick. Each time I had to say goodbye to anyone my stomach was in knots and I felt that I was going to hurl. On Monday, our last night in Utah, the anxiety was so overwhelming that I just about nearly passed out. I was absolutely distraught. I'm sure that the only thing that truly got me on the plane tuesday morning was knowing I'd see Kam.
Now that I'm here I feel okay. I feel very peaceful in our house. The same feeling I had when we left here after signing the lease. I am hopeful for a great experience here in PA. I know that our Heavenly Father wants our family here at this time and that there will be great learning experiences and opportunities to grow out here.
