Thirty

Yup, the day has come and now I'm officially OLD! If anyone asks though, I'm 22. It's just too bad that my face is letting everyone know that I'm lying! Anyway, on this momentous year of my life I've decided to break tradition and rather than telling you 30 things I want to do in the next thirty years, I'll tell you all 30 things that I have done in my last thirty years:

1. I was born of goodly parents. And even though they are not together I am appreciative that each has brought me two wonderful people who are "goodly" too!

2. I was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

3. I graduated from High School and attended some college (Only 3 classes away from a degree, and I'll get it done sometime, just have to get Kam done first.)

4. I met the Love of My Life and Married Him in the Temple.

5.  I sang a Solo in the Assembly Hall at Temple Square.

6. I Graduated from Seminary.

7. I have/am living Out-of-State

8. I became a Mommy and have delivered Two Beautiful Children.

9. I've served in the Young Women's Presidency.

10. I'm serving in the Primary Presidency.

11. I have giving a Talk in Church (scary).

12. I have been on 5 cruises.

13. I have been out of the county; Canada and Mexico.

14. I have flown on an airplane.

15. I have jumped off a 50 ft. cliff.

16. I've been bungie jumping.

17. I taught myself to sew.

19. I was the mini Queen in the Days of '47 Parade (2 years in a row.)

20. I was the Manager of a Prestigious Cosmetic Line.

21. I got First Place in both my floor and vault routines when I was in Gymnastics.

22. I've ridden a horse and have ridden in a horse drawn sleigh.

23. I play the Piano.

24. I beat Super Mario Brothers on the old school Nintendo.

25. I can drive a car and have never been in an accident (knock on wood).

26. I've survive a few surgeries (tonsilectomy, foot surgery twice, 2 c-sections).

27. I played the triangle and bass drum in the Pep-Band during high school.

28. I was blessed as a baby on the first sunday with a block schedule.

29. I have learned to forgive and forget.

30. I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know He lives and that He loves me.

To many of you these items may be lame but I am pleased with what I have accomplished and have no regrets to where my life has lead me. I am happy and that's what matters. So, Happy Birthday to Me and it's my wish that each of you are just as Happy in your own lives!

The Time of My Life

A few weeks ago was Braden's first day in primary! I wish we had been at our own ward but it turned out really well that we were at my dad's ward. I prepared Braden by telling him that he would be going to a new "meeting" and that he would be a sunbeam. He was really excited about it but as soon as we walked in (and didn't see any toys) he was ready to head right back out. He wanted nothing to do with primary. I sat with him to help him feel more comfortable and his teacher introduced herself and told him of all the fun things they'd be doing, still, he wasn't convinced. As opening exercised started they asked if there were any visitors and Braden got to stand in front of everyone while they sang the "Hello" song to him. He thought that was pretty neat and from then on decided that primary was okay and I was able to go to my meetings.

At the end of the block, Abi, my sister, went to pick Braden up from his class and asked him what he thought about his first day in Primary. Braden responed, "I had the time of my life!"

After church I called my mom to tell her of Braden's experience and to share what he said about his time in primary. My mom just laughed and laughed and I told her, "I have the funniest kids!" and Braden overhearing me tells me, "I have the funniest mommy!"

And then even later that day while eating dinner Braden asks me: "Mom? Can I go live with megan and Kris?"

Me: "Don't you want to live with Mommy in Pennsylvania?"

Braden: "No, I wanna live here forever!"

After talking to Daddy though, he decided that he did want to go back to PA.

I really do have the funniest kids and they say the funniest thing sometimes. And hopefully I am doing all that I can to make sure that they both always have the "Time of their Life!"

Snow

It snowed again today! Not much, but there is snow out there. The sun even came out today which makes me very happy. Usually it's very gray outside, and gray doesn't suit me very well. This morning Braden was really sad. He misses his daddy very much. Kam is super busy this semester and we almost never see him. Braden has been acting out a lot too but I am sure that most of this is due to him really missing his daddy. Anyway, Braden was very sad so I suggested that we go play in the snow. Braden was thrilled! And after spending what felt like hours getting all bundled up we headed outside for a great time!

Carter is One

While in Utah by baby turned ONE! We had 3 different parties for him. The first one was the day before his birthday with he Henries. Kam's sister, Konnie who is an amazing cake decorator (click here and here for more of her creations), helped me make a "BLOCK" cake for the Birthday Boy. At first Carter wasn't sure about diving into the cake, but after a while was really excited making a huge mess!

The second party was at Grammy Bo's on his Birthday, December 29th. There was a huge snow storm that day so unfortunately my sister Megan wasn't able to join us but we still had a lot of fun! This time Carter knew just what to do and dove right into the cake. He also loved being sung to.

The last party was with my dad and Heidi in St. George. We went out to the Pizza Factory to celebrate both my birthday and Carter's birthday. Carter got a cheese pizza shaped like a "1" as well as some yummy chocolate cake. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of this party because the battery in my camera was dead. Whoops!
