Uh-Oh, Carter
Carter is usually a very good boy. He listens and does what Mommy and Daddy ask him to do, he eats his dinner well, and for the most part plays really well with Braden, so long as he gets to choose who plays with what. But sometimes, Carter gets into mischief...a lot of mischief.
Schramm Farm
Braden's birthday was definitely special and the fun didn't just stop because the day was over. The next day, Wednesday, Braden's class had a field trip to Schramm Farm. When we first got there the kids got to play on a pirate ship and then the kids got to learn all about the farm and what grows there. After, we got to go on a hayride, pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and drink yummy apple cider!

The One Son is FOUR
I was so excited for Braden's birthday. Mostly because I knew that he would be getting the best surprise ever. My mom called a few days before to let me know that she had decided to fly out and see us, but told me not to tell Braden. We got up early the morning of his birthday and drove to the airport. Braden didn't know where we were going, only that we were going to pick up a special present from Bo. He didn't realize that we were at the airport until I pulled right up to door # 3 and made the call that we were out front. I thought for sure the moment he saw Grammy Bo he'd scream in excitement but he didn't. Instead he Cried! It was soooo tender.
Opening his gift from Grammy Bo.... MONEY,
which he later used to buy the RC car from Toy Story.
Closing his eyes awaiting his present from Mom and Dad.
A new Bike and Helmet...Batman, I mean Carter, thought it was his though.
So brother let him have the first ride.
Then Braden got to try it out. Unfortunately it was too small, so we had to
take it back and trade it for a better one, one that was just the right size.
Braden got lots of cards from his family to wish him a happy birthday.
He thought it was pretty neat that he got mail in the mailbox with his name on it!
He especially loved this package from Gram and Grampa.
Braden got to pick where he wanted to go to dinner, He picked Red Lobster (he likes to see the lobsters in the tank) and Kam didn't complain because they were having their all-you-can-eat shrimp!
Testing out the better, just-the-right-size bike!
And giving this fun trike from Papa and Gramma Heidi a run.
It may be the one son's birthday, but you can't forget about this little cutie...
he got his own helmet too!
Happy Birthday Braden. You're my most favorite 4 year old around and I love you!

an early surprise
Braden's birthday is not till next week, but earlier this week he got a special package that was dropped off by the man in brown. It was a birthday present from his "Grampa named Brad" and Granmma Heidi. Braden loves it and is all ready to share his mad skills!
hurry, hurry drive the firetruck
Braden was invited to his first (well, now that I think of it, second) "friend" birthday party. To say he was excited would have been an understatement. He was invited by one of his friends at school, Stanley. He has been talking about it everyday and has shown anyone who would look the invitation.
Today was the big day and unfortunately I had some primary stuff to do so Kam took him. It was held at a local fire station (Stanley's dad is one of the volunteer firefighters). All the kids got a chance to hit a pinata, which by the way, Braden broke and got an extra prize for doing so, and ride in the fire truck. Kam told me that the truck was one of the ones that has both a front and rear steering system and at one point they were riding sideways! Braden thought it was one of the coolest things ever. I'm so glad he had such a great time!
