the results are IN

I visited my OB today and we have some answers.

First, I had an ultrasound to measure the baby. From the measurements it did prove that my dates are wrong and I really am due January 4th, not the 31st. After the ultrasound, I met with the doctor and we discussed our options. He agrees with the tech that my due date should change, however, he wants to play it safe too. We are going to go by my original ultrasound due date of January 18th and we set a date for a scheduled C-section based on that date. I am scheduled for the morning of Friday the 16th. Most likely I will begin labor on my own before then, but this way we don't take the risk of taking the baby earlier than his little body may be ready, preventing any potential problems. I am a little frustrated, but I feel good about letting this little one come when he is ready. At least I have a date to count down to rather than having it all up in the air.
