The Happiest Place on Earth

It has been a crazy couple of months. Just as we unpacked the last of our things at my dad's house where we are staying until the big move in August we packed our bags again and headed to California to spend a week with my sister. While there we went to disney land and had a great time. This being said, I will tell anyone and everyone that I do not recommend taking a 2 year old to Disneyland. It's just too exciting and can spoil a little person enough that they have a meltdown for about half of the day. I'm pretty sure that had I not spent so much money to be there we would have just left. Instead we grinned and bared it all. Finally I bribed Braden into being good by letting him get some "ears" if he behaved. That did the trick and for the rest of the 2 days Braden was on his best behavior. Carter did really well too. It wasn't hard to have a little one with us. It was much easier than I thought. My favorite part was getting Braden his Mickey Mouse Ears. The delight on his face was well worth any temper tantrum!

I Take it Back

ALL my excitement. Braden has not and will not go potty on the toilet anymore. I thought we were turning a corner, but I was wrong.
Is this normal? and now what do I do? any thoughts?

Braden Pooped on the Potty...nuff said!
Let's hope he does it again.

Because I Know

This is a picture taken from the Deseret News. It was taken a little over 10 years ago. It is a picture of my friend Shellie (who has down syndrome) when she was crowned as the Homecoming Queen my senior year of High School. Apparently a lot of attention has been brought to this little act of love recently with reenactments in a commercial and now a motion picture that is to be made sharing this event to others. I always new that there was something special about Murray High School and my graduating class, but when this all happened I knew that I was lucky to be part of something really special. I hope this story lives on and on as it lives as a testimony to me that real beauty is found within and that if you really want, you can make a difference just by opening up and sharing your love to everyone. GO SPARTANS! I live to bleed ORANGE and BLACK!

Carter (3 Months)

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this little boy; how much I love both my boys and how in awe I am of how much happiness they bring to my life. Carter is getting so big and is doing the cutest things. He smiles all the time and coos as though he has much on his mind. He really doesn't like tummy time, and I have not been good at giving it to him so it seems a chore right now for both of us. Carter sleeps very well getting up only once at night and has on a couple of occasions slept through the night! I never thought I could love another little person as much as I love Braden, but it is amazing the love a mothers heart can hold for her children and love them each equally even though the way you love each one is different.
