My step-dad took a job in Las Vegas leaving my mommy to manage the never-ending construction on their home in Alpine. Since she's going to be alone the next few months, my mom and I decided that we needed to keep busy. We decided to take turns staying at each others houses, trading off weekends and work on different projects or to just hang out together. Last weekend was my mom's weekend. Braden and I went down Friday night and stayed thru Sunday (since the first Sunday we have dinner down there and Kameron was working anyway). We did lot's of fun things together. Friday night we watched movies and set up my mom's blog (and yes, I'll admit that I authored her first post). Saturday we woke early to go yard selling which was a great adventure. We found great stuff including a toy box and new car for Braden (Only 5 bucks!) We also visited the DI and had a steal of a breakfast, $2.00 for 2 breakfast burritos and hash-browns! After shopping the work began. We cut down trees, raked the lawn, moved rocks, dirt and sand, cleaned the driveway, did laundry and other other little things around the house. We all worked really hard, even Braden. By the end of the day we were pooped. We relaxed in the hammock and ate ice cream to reward our efforts. On Sunday, we all went to church and afterwards made an Italian Feast (it was yummy), played games and ate more ice cream! (Braden had to eat his bowl of ice cream all by himself. He didn't want anyone to help him.)
Thanks mom for a fantastic weekend!

It sounds like you and your mom are really close! That is awesome. My mom is my best friend, second to Cody of course.
